TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on a portion of thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring protein in the body. It is mainly known for its potential role in tissue repair, inflammation reduction, and injury recovery. TB-500 works by promoting cell migration, angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), and actin regulation, which are important for healing. It has been widely used in experimental and research settings, especially in sports and bodybuilding communities. TB-500 is not approved for medical use by major regulatory agencies and is considered a research compound. Reported benefits are largely anecdotal, with limited high-quality human clinical data. Because of uncertain safety, dosing, and long-term effects, it should be approached with caution and medical guidance.
Dosage TB-500 :
TB-500 has been 2-5 mg, administered twice weekly, for a duration of 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the nature of the research. Some clinicians favor a higher starting dose for the initial 1 to 2 weeks, followed by a maintenance dose equal to one half of the original dose for the 2 to 6 weeks thereafter.
Alternatively, one human study used a thymosin-beta 4 dose of 0.03% in a gel for the treatment of venous ulcer wounds with favorable results.
